Science has not yet found an answer to this. There is an opinion that in this sphere, a kind of energy belt, there are all kinds of entities that observe us and our lives. Most probably they have not had the opportunity to experience how interesting, inspiring and fascinating it can be. It is possible that, being sensitive to the various vibrations we send out, they somehow sense it. Who knows? Perhaps they even envy us the triumph we experience, the goodness we feel, the happiness. Or perhaps they are simply curious about the sensual sensations attributed to our bodies, associated with the simple joys of life, such as a tasty, exquisite meal. We also send out positive vibrations when we feel the joy of love-related intimacy, the touch of a loved one. These kinds of events evoke positive emotions in us, often of high intensity. In the astral world, our emotions are felt and perceived in the form of vibrations, concrete energy. All this can be perceived on an energetic level precisely by the various beings inhabiting the post-earthly (in both senses of the word) astral world.

Who would have thought that our busy existence could be the object of curiosity, longing, sometimes even envy? And for reasons that we ourselves, in our haste, often fail to notice. And yet it is. Why? An explanation is provided by another conception of the astral world. According to this, it is a certain area that we could describe as 'intermediate', a kind of waiting room for souls who, for various reasons, cannot continue their journey to their final abode, called the 'Land of the Eternal Hunt', the Elysian Fields, or, in monotheistic religions, Hell (for the bad) or Heaven (for the good). Souls who have not moved on to their next abode for various reasons may be stuck in a lower level of the astral world for mental or karmic reasons. Mental reasons may be that the spirits concerned are completely confused about their present situation (this happens in the case of sudden, unexpected death). Or they have been so attached to their previous existence that they are mentally unable to take the next step and move on to the next level of eternal life. In such a state, they are particularly susceptible to calls from earth, and would welcome the offer of even a temporary return. This is why the use of ouija boards and participation in spiritualist séances is considered in an astral, spiritual sense to be not very safe. If in real life we don't let strangers knocking at the door into our homes, why should we do so on a spiritual level?

Of course, someone may say that the astral world is also inhabited by good spiritual entities. This is not out of the question, but it will be difficult for a person without experience in this field to discern which astral guest he has invited into his home. If these are spirit beings hostile to the human being, the polite cancellation formula used in spiritualistic séances may not suffice. Then the help of a spiritual exorcist will be necessary.

A few words about runic magic

 The term runic magic can have an effect on the imagination. It is possible that images of ancient pagan priests performing their secret rituals will appear before our eyes - completely out of nowhere. Or, at least, this could be the case if we link runic magic with general ideas about the Celtic priests of the pre-Christian era, the druids. Meanwhile, even if our thoughts run along just such a path, it does not at all mean that it is in accordance with what rune researchers have proven. Although, of course, we are entitled to have our own opinion on the matter.
So what were runes, the basis of runic magic? Runes are a type of alphabet, used in the first millennium AD mainly by the ancient Germanic, Scandinavian tribes and those from whom the modern native Britons, Irish or Scots are descended. Over time, the runes were supplanted by the Latin alphabet, which is generally known and still used today, and fell out of use, gradually falling into oblivion. However, there are indications that runic writing was also known in some parts of Poland.

Runic writing had several "branches", that is, it existed in several varieties. This was probably because it was used for quite a long period of time in a rather extensive area of Europe. Runes were engraved on wood or animal bones, but stone was another common material used to record events. There are particularly many such stone monuments in Sweden. If you are interested in the history of the alphabet and the development of writing, you can look up the details and do some reading. And what does this have to do with magic?

It turns out that it has quite a lot to do with magic. Runic script, also called futhark after its first letters, existed in the Old Germanic, Anglo-Saxon and Scandinavian varieties. The latter is the so-called Nordic version or the so-called younger futhark. The Old Germanic variety had 24 characters, the Old English 31 characters and the youngest-Nordic 16 characters. It has to be said that a person might be greatly surprised, as runes could be associated with some form of pictorial communication, but not necessarily with the alphabet. The characters, which serve as letters, are definitely different from those known today, a little more angular. Their pronunciation is just as peculiar as their graphic form.

And this is where the crux of the subject - the magical references of runic writing - begins to reveal itself. Each letter was assigned a specific image, not necessarily related to its sound. - Naudiz - may emphasise such desirable qualities as consistency, regularity, ability to impose discipline on oneself

The secrets of Reiki

 Reiki is not a belief system, nor is it a sect in the religious sense. So what is it? Simply put, it is a method of spiritual healing by means of energy. In other words, one improves the condition of living organisms by means of appropriately directed energy. The term "living organisms" is not coincidental, as reiki can be applied to humans, animals and plants.
The creator (in the opinion of some, the rediscoverer) and promoter of reiki was Mikao Usui, a lay monk from the Tendai Buddhist school. From the time he founded an association to teach the method in 1911 until his death in 1926, he is said to have passed on the fundamentals of his system to some two thousand adepts.


The name reiki itself consists of two elements: "rei", meaning, among other things, spirit, mind or ocean, and "ki", which refers to the all-encompassing and all-encompassing life energy. In other religious-philosophical systems, it is called chi, prana or mana, while Christians speak of the all-enlivening breath of life, given by God. Reiki assumes that complete health is dependent on balancing the energies of the body, spirit and mind of the person and their environment. Illness is thought to result from an imbalance of harmony between these spheres.

Normally, reiki treatment is based on the flow of life energy from the reiki master to the person undergoing reiki treatment. This energy is supposed to flow from the crown chakra, through which it is taken, through the chakras on the hands of the reiki master (and further through touch) to the person in question. Sometimes the transmission of vital energy in the form of the breath is used. It is possible that both the person transferring the energy and the "recipient" will feel it as a tingling, numb or cold sensation. The aim of reiki treatment is to stimulate the body's natural predisposition for healing and to remove any energy blockages (which, by upsetting the energy balance, are thought to contribute to the condition).The initiation in the reiki system follows a three-stage process. The first step is basic, introducing the art and showing the methods of energy transfer. The second stage must take place after a few months, not before. As part of this initiation, the student learns the symbols for channelling energy and acquires the ability to also affect the mental state of the person being treated with energy. The student deepens his or her ability to transmit the energy of life to the body of the person being treated.


It is interesting to note that after the second level of initiation, a person who is a reiki master can transfer concentrated energy to the person concerned while being physically very far away. This means that at this level of initiation, consultations can take place remotely, and the necessary elements are a prior conversation and the sending of a recent photo. After passing the third, master reiki initiation, the person himself or herself can pass on knowledge and skills to other adepts of this art.

There is one more fact to be noted, the reiki adept (or master) does not "give away" his own life energy during treatments, but takes it through a particular chakra directly from the world, or rather the universe. By definition, reiki is intended to be a positive discipline, geared towards promoting feelings of respect and love towards all living beings. What is reincarnation?

 Reincarnation is the view according to which a person's spirit or consciousness, after the death of one person, returns to earth to be reincarnated in another person - this is the most common understanding, but it is also possible to be reborn in a new incarnation in the form of an animal, some plant or, finally, a mineral.
The name itself comes from the Latin words re, in, caro, meaning to reincarnate. Other terms encountered for reincarnation are metempsychosis or transmigration.

The greatest importance is attached to reincarnation in Hinduism. In this religious system, it is assumed that the cycle of death and the soul's reappearance repeats itself continuously until full enlightenment. A person has no direct influence on the form in which he or she will be reborn, but this can be influenced to a certain extent by the soul's desires and fate, so-called karma. Karma is something like the sum total of deeds from previous incarnations. These deeds can be good or bad, depending on a person's behaviour in previous lives. Similarly, karma - can be good or bad. The more good deeds, the greater the positive balance at the end of life, the greater the chance of being reincarnated into a more advanced being. Conversely, the more bad deeds and the less good done in a life, the worse the entity in which the soul will reside in the next life.

The circle of reincarnation can only be broken when full enlightenment, also known as nirvana, is reached. Nirvana is also commonly understood as the absence of any suffering. By reaching the state of nirvana, we also get rid of any desires.

According to sources interested in the subject: "The attainment of this state is identical to the breaking of the continuous cycle of birth and death, which is simply the cycle associated with the rebirth of the soul in its various forms. A person who, through careful Buddhist practice, has succeeded in reaching the state of nirvana departs forever from the world as we know it(...)"

This quotation shows the point of view of those who are close to Buddhism, interested in it or who practise it. How do other religions view the issue of reincarnation?

Belief in reincarnation was a popular view among the early followers of Christianity. However, this doctrine was removed from that religion in later centuries by the church authorities because it was inconvenient to the church policies of the time.  However, the New and Old Testaments contain many quotations referring to reincarnation. A frequently used example is Jesus' statement that John the Baptist 'is Elijah who was to come' (Mt 11:14).

Some interest in the wandering of souls in successive incarnations can also be found in Kabbalism ( in Judaism) and in followers of the Sufi branches of Islam.

Interesting from the point of view of those interested in reincarnation are the stories of young children concerning the details of their previous incarnations. Interestingly, usually these children are so young that it would be difficult to suspect them of learning the information (or the entire 'previous life') by heart. Nevertheless, this is an open question, not scientifically verified, just like reincarnation itself.

Reverse speech

 The phenomenon called backwards speech sounds quite mysterious, and it was discovered thanks to an accidental event. Here is how the propagator, Australian hypnotherapist John David Oates, writes about it: 'The whole thing actually started by chance. It was October 1983, I was living in Los Angeles at the time. It all happened a week before my twenty-eighth birthday, at a time when I was in the bathroom getting ready to go out for a night out. I had a portable walkman attached to my trouser belt, from which I was listening to music quite loudly. Suddenly I tripped and the walkman fell straight into the toilet bowl. I got it out of there and, although it was completely wet and broken, I tried to repair it. However, my knowledge of electronics proved inadequate. I therefore only managed to put it back together, but from then on it exhibited one flaw - it only played cassettes backwards. An attempt to repair it so that it played the cassettes as before was unsuccessful. So I had a walkman which in a way was unusable because it only played the cassettes backwards".

This initially insignificant and forgotten incident was compounded a few months later by another issue. It was the initiative of a religious group that began to spread the idea that rock music turned on 'backwards' carried devilish, satanic messages. The promoter of backwards speech combined the two facts - his broken walkman only working 'backwards' and the religious group's 'crusade' against heavy playing - and so the concept of so-called backwards speech (in English referred to as backmasking or reverse speech) was born. The hypnotherapist "fleshed out" the concept with the theory that human speech listened to backwards supposedly reveals hidden information. These are messages sent by our subconscious. This may be considered an interesting theory, but only a theory. It is in no way an assumption based on any scientific basis. There is no reliable scientific data supported by objective research: Susan Brombacher, concluded that "the theories of the discoverer of backwards speech are too difficult to prove (...) Which doesn't stop the author from making quite a bit of money."

And although Oates's website publishes numerous documents with a 'scientific' twist, there is no evidence whatsoever that he has carried out any empirical research into it. Nevertheless, all indications are that the theory is doing quite well. Oates advertises and sells his books on a website, and given that the internet is a generally accessible medium, this is a recipe for a pretty lucrative business. And, in all likelihood, it is: Realistically, it is very difficult to pick up anything meaningful and understand it from the playback of speech. The saviour for the theory-maker and his supporters is suggestion. Given that Oates is a hypnotist and hypnotherapist by profession, this should not come as too much of a surprise. It is easy to suggest a clue to someone; they will follow it further on their own, even if they are presented with something of trace cognitive value. In other words, it is easy to subtly hint at something to someone and that person, convinced that they have come up with it on their own, will stay with the suggested thought. It could also be that someone is attuned to picking up certain messages from the environment, obsessively thinking about something or fearing something. Hence, it was easy to direct the thoughts of people who declared themselves to be believers onto a satanic track if there were words or at least syllables in the texts they listened to that referred in sound to the word devil, satan or other words evoking infernal and demonic associations.

For all intents and purposes, the overwhelming majority of retrograde speech messages are completely incomprehensible, and therefore almost any message, however nonsensical, can be attributed to them. One can turn a blind eye to this if one treats it merely as a game, Worse if it were to serve detective methods along the lines of a new version of a lie detector or as a hypnotherapy method. This should not happen. It is a theory invented for business reasons. Even if one finds the issue of backwards speech intriguing, it is still pseudo-science and should not have a major impact on human destiny.

In an age of ubiquitous marketing, the invention of one commodity entails the creation of a family of derivative products. And if the customer is tricked into believing that he or she needs something, the commodity in question is likely to be bought. Out of curiosity or boredom, people look for hidden meanings in speech that is listened to backwards, attributing to celebrities a philosophy that they may not approve of at all, but so be it - after all, they have "hunted" for hidden content....
